DESCRIPTION

KETOTREAT DS TABLET (Alpha Keto Analogue Tablet Double Strength) is a supplement used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease. It reduces urea levels in the blood and helps prevent the progression of kidney disease. It reduces the chances of proteinuria and decreases secondary hyperparathyroidism and renal osteodystrophy. It decreases the progression of CKD and delays the need for dialysis.  KETOTREAT DS TABLET (Alpha Keto Analogue Tablet Double Strength) is a combination of carboxylic group and ketone group and is used as a supplement to Low Protein Diet to Very Low Protein Diet in CKD patients. It contains five alpha-keto amino acids, which are in the form of calcium salts & five Essential Amino Acids.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

KETOTREAT DS TABLET (Alpha Keto Analogue Tablet Double Strength) is indicated in preventing & treating renal damage in CKD patients caused because of protein metabolism disorders. It is also used in Diabetic Nephropathy.

DOSAGE

The recommended dose of KETOTREAT DS TABLET (Alpha Keto Analogue Tablet Double Strength) is 0.1 Tab/kg body weight per day in 2-3 divided doses. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is not used in patients with hypercalcemia & disturbed amino acid metabolism.
