DESCRIPTION

Cholecalciferol 60000 IU is a dietary supplement that is used to treat vitamin D deficiency. It is also used with calcium to maintain bone strength. It acts by promoting the absorption of calcium, phosphates and Vitamin A from different organs and helps in maintaining overall health.

INDICATION AND USAGE

Cholecalciferol tablet is indicated in Treatment of Hypocalcemia, Vitamin D deficiency, Hypoparathyroidism.

DOSAGE

Adults: Cholecalciferol 60000 IU tablet to be given once a week for a period of 8 weeks, followed by maintenance daily dose as directed by the physician.

CONTRAINDICATION

Cholecalciferol 60000 IU tablet should not be taken by patients who are allergic to cholecalciferol, patients with increased levels of calcium in the blood or if there is presence of calcium in the urine.
