DESCRIPTION

Mycophenolate Mofetil is a synthetic analog of mycophenolic acid that is produced by several Penicillium species. It is an antiproliferative immunosuppressant and is used in combination with calcineurin inhibitors and other corticosteroids for the prophylaxis of acute rejection in renal, hepatic or cardiac transplants. Mycophenolate Mofetil is proven as a safer non-nephrotoxic and efficacious immunosuppressant to prevent graft rejections, thus improving overall post-transplant patient survival.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

MYCOTREAT S 180 (Mycophenolate Sodium 180 mg Tablets) is an immunosuppressant drug that is used in combination with calcineurin inhibitors and other corticosteroids for the prophylaxis of acute rejection in renal, hepatic, or cardiac transplant. It is also used in lupus nephritis, rheumatoid arthritis and refractory rejection.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It cannot be given to patients with hypersensitivity to polysorbate 80, MPA, mycophenolate mofetil or its contents.
